The IPA is the trade association and professional institute for over 250 UK-based advertising agencies; 50 per cent of which are the UK offices of multinational networks.  They help manage UK brand investment of over £30bn per annum, on behalf of around 5,000 businesses and 10,000 brands - 36% of which are international.

IPA member agencies represent the spectrum of communications disciplines; media planning and buying, consumer insight and creative, integrated, experiential, outdoor, search, social and digital.

The IPA leads the world in effectiveness measurement; since 1980, the organisation has been collating case material to demonstrate payback from advertising investment through the IPA Effectivenesss Awards.

The Advertising Association promotes the role, rights and responsibilities of advertising and its impact on individuals, the economy and society. Responsible businesses understand that there is little point in an advertisement that people cannot trust. That's why, over 50 years ago, the Advertising Association led UK advertising towards a system of independent self-regulation which has since been adopted around the world. There are nearly thirty UK trade associations representing advertising, media and marketing. The ADVERTISING PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION (APA)

The APA is the UK trade body for production, post production and VFX and editing companies making commercials.

Its objective is to create the best possible business environment for its members to operate in. APA provide standard contracts, production advice, recommended crew rates, advice on non standard contracts and copyright, disputes resolution, training, promotion and marketing members services and helping members to access new markets in the UK and internationally.

The APA helps provide a framework within which members can manage their key business relationships. The standard production agreement is the basis on which production companies are engaged by advertising agencies. Our work with the agencies association, the IPA, addresses production issues and enables us to help members resolve disputes.
