UK creative work awarded at Cannes Lions festival

Leading UK advertising campaigns were recognised by the judges at the 2017 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

Winning campaigns at the prestigious global awards event included adam&eveDDB's 'Buster the Boxer' Christmas campaign for John Lewis and its 'Tiny Dancer' advertising for John Lewis Insurance, the Rio Paralympics marketing created by 4Creative and OMD, and Saatchi & Saatchi London's innovative 'Fleetlights' work for Direct Line insurance which showcased the potential for drones to improve safety on badly-lit roads.

Other multiple winning UK agencies included J Walter Thompson London, Publicis London and Iris. 

Members of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, which represents advertising professionals, won in total 61 awards across 19 categories. Find a list of IPA agency wins here and list of all UK winners here (registration required).

Each UK success in Cannes was greeted by a roar in real time from an animated billboard of a lion as part of a GREAT campaign produced for the Department of International Trade by the agencies, WCRS and Gyro.
