COVID-19 Resources and support for crafts businesses and makers

The crafts are an important part of the UK's social and economic life with the Crafts Council Market for Craft report showing craft sales worth £3 billion to the UK economy.

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on a sector dominated by micro enterprises and sole practitioners. And the UK's exit from the EU on 31 December 2020 will affect all businesses.

Crafts Council support

On 23 October 2020 the Crafts Council was asked to summarise the impact that Covid-19 and Brexit would have on the craft sector to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) – see summary here.
