New award announces nominees
Ten leading figures from the UK creative scene have been nominated for the first Creative Industries Council Award for Cross-Industry Collaboration, announced in partnership with The Hospital Club’s annual h.Club 100 awards
The award recognises inspirational leaders of programmes or businesses which have demonstrated how convergence across different creative disciplines can lead to international commercial success.
The Creative Industries Council (CIC), a forum of industry and government, has partnered with The Hospital Club, to launch the award and celebrate convergence across UK creative industries which generate £77bn a year for the UK economy. The shortlist was drawn up from nominations received from CIC members.
The award winner will be announced on October 1st at The Hospital Club’s Annual h. Club 100 Awards, now in their 7th year, which celebrate the 100 most influential and innovative people working within Britain’s creative industries.
The nominees for the 2015 CIC Award for Cross-Industry Collaboration are (listed alphabetically, by surname):

Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, executive vice president of Facebook and the co-industry chair of the Creative Industries Council, said: “The Cross-Industry Collaboration Award celebrates those individuals who have made a commercial success of creative convergence.
