Businesses optimistic about 2018 in Kingston Smith survey
Almost 70 per cent of respondents are upbeat about a growth in their revenues this year in the Outlook 2018 Survey from Kingston Smith - up from about 60 per cent in the same survey last year.
The majority of research respondents, who comprised finance and managing directors in media, marketing and consulting businesses, said they were expecting revenue growth of up to 10 per cent in 2018, though 15 per cent were expecting growth of more than 20 per cent.
Most repondents (72 per cent of the sample) also expected revenues to flow through into increases in profits.
Only about 10 per cent of respondents predicted their revenues could decline this year.
More respondents reported working with businesses from the rest of the world confirming the opportunities for UK-based agencies to work with international partners.
However, Kingston Smith noted that the "optimism was tempered by the actual reported forecast profit margins which are still lower than many would like."
The survey also looks at other areas such as staffing requirements and management of assets.
